Child labour policy

TJ Books is committed to preventing and addressing the use of child labour in our supply chains and stakeholder organisations, and protecting the rights of young workers.

Young persons under 18 shall not be employed in hazardous conditions.  Where Young Persons are employed, TJ Books will carry out a special risk assessment to ensure their safety and wellbeing in accordance with Regulation 19 of The Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations 1999.

TJ Books will present evidence at Business Ethics audit to confirm our commitment to this policy.

We expect our suppliers and stakeholders to undertake credible due diligence and monitor their operations to ensure that their sites and supply chains are free from child labour and/or young people employed in hazardous work.  If any evidence of child labour is found, TJ Books expects suppliers and stakeholders to immediately stop use of child labour and put remedial actions in place to safeguard the children.
