At TJ Books we are constantly reviewing how as a company we can be more environmentally friendly. It is important for companies no matter the size to do their bit to help the climate change crisis and be more conscious.
These are some of our 2024 aims. As a company we are always looking at ways we can be more sustainable.
- We will maintain our FSC certification with annual audits.
- Calculate our Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions. We will set Scope 3 boundaries consistent with those of the print industry for effective benchmarking.
- Reduce our water consumption by 10%
- Reduce our electricity consumption by 3%
- Reduce our kW/hrs for every book we produce.
- We are proud to send zero waste to landfill. 100% of it is either recycled or sent to energy-from-waste at CERC. We intend to segregate our waste streams further, so that more plastic waste is recycled rather than incinerated.
